Project Details:

Prodution of Gasoline From Vacuum Gas oil In Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit

Duration : 15th December, 2014 – 23rd March, 2015.

This project is studied in Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited, Chennai on production of Gasoline from Vacuum gas oil in FCCU along with calculating material and energy balance for the capacity augmentation of 125 tons/day. Design of distillation column(stripper) and Shell&tube heat exchanger were done. With its rising demand, the whole plant was redesigned for 125 tons/day. The calculations were performed for all equipment and the necessary feed inputs were calculated. The cost estimation of the total plant was planned from which the payback period was calculated. The payback period was found to be 3 years and 4 month after which the full profit can be enjoyed.
