Accomplishments
. IN 2014 FACILITATED PROBLEM SOLVING "TRAIN THE TRAINERS" TRAINING TO
CHAMPIONS OR TEAM LEADERS AS TRAINERS FOR THE ST. PAUL DIVISION. THIS
GROUP CONSISTED OF MANAGERS AND SUPERVISOR THAT WOULD TRAIN OTHER
ASSOCIATES USING THE 9 PROBLEM SOLVING STEPS AND TOOLS PROVIDED.
. 2014 collaborated with the maintenance team and the vendor of our die
lube equipment to build a central lube system. This system consisted of
two separate mixing reservoirs for the two different water and lube
mixture ratios used at our facility. The system would draw from a single
concentrate tank and deliver two separate lube ratios to eleven die cast
machines. Separates mixing tanks would no longer need to be mixed and
reduced downtime and waste of die lube. Tested and replace new style 024
nozzles on reciprocating equipment on our highest volume automotive job.
With new system and nozzles we were able to reduce die lube consumption
by volume to pounds of metal melted by 25% per years. Pay back for the
project was 1 year and showed consistent reductions that would carryon
year after year. Added benefits to the environment, safety and
cleanliness of the facility.
. June 2012 collaborated with human resources and production to build 3
shifts, 5 days within a 3 month time frame and reduce overtime. Then in
fall of 2015 with reduced sales and work force we were able to meet
budget constraints by adjustments back to 2 shifts splitting resources
onto 4 shifts, 5days, 2 Mon.- Thurs. and 2 Tues.- Fri. with a overlap Tue
- Thurs. to meet production needs. Keeping enough resources and the
reduction of overtime with benefits to run production needs on critical
capacity machines.
Additional Skills
. HANDYMAN SKILLS; MECHANICAL, CONSTRUCTION, ELECTRICAL WIRING, PLUMBING,
CARPENTRY AND WOOD WORKING.
. Work for a family friend and owner of Arp's Tree Service as a laborer for
couple summers during high school.
. Work for my uncles part time in their Retail Do It Yourself Our Own
Hardware store during high school and until they sold in 1988.
