In the close to 5 years at this site responsibilities included adding the functionality via Python modules to the Python compiler to support mathematical and scientific requirements for developers and scientists who use the high performance computers on this site. There was some Python scripting exposure required to support this product. Similarly compiling and installing Ruby, Ruby scripts are used to build the compiler. There was exposure to Ruby scripting. The Open Source software is available from various Web sites, in most cases the gcc compiler which I also supported was used to compile the C code. Most of the products were written in C or C++. Perl another package I supported included some Perl scripting analysis. Most of my Perl script experience was in the support of the RHBIO system which ran genome analysis software. There were Perl scripts that required modifications and added functionality.
