MICROSOFT/ Surface – Lead PM – Engineering Services – Redmond, WA 2015-2016

Created PM team of three PMs to help support Surface engineering teams through the use of better tools (including TFS - both out of box and customized solutions, i-e2e) and processes. Brought agile to the engineering services group. Filled in gaps in services org. Worked on numerous cross group projects.

MICROSOFT/Bing – Senior PM – Data Mining – Bellevue, WA 2013-2015

Worked with dev on metrics infrastructure including: creation of a metrics definition language and its associated infrastructure for self-service metrics to assist with experimentation, cache used for performantly accessing metrics and assorted computations. Led team of four PMs through the Windows 8 planning cycle, and successfully into M1 to build a content platform which better served the needs of the content team, in a scalable fashion. Worked with dev/test team located in India, and directs housed in both the US and India. Managed extensive cross group dependencies in US, thru Wave 3 and into Wave 4. During Wave 3 built RSS retrieval system while training two new junior PMs to maintain our existing, legacy site. In Wave 4 brought senior PM up-to-speed, participated in two planning themes, built new system with eight other teams, patents awarded.

MICROSOFT/Windows – Program Manager II – Digital Media Division – Redmond, WA 2004 – 2006

Acted as Release Manager -- shipped Windows Server 2003 SP1/x64 Client and Windows Vista. Worked with PM/Dev/Test of 10 different teams in the Digital Media Division and Windows ship room to ensure accountabilities met. Led DMD triage, provided status to DMD and windows executive management. Negotiated process to alleviate serious build/functionality breaks from happening to our core audio stack. Collaborated with dev/test and AMD to work through codec issues found in the first version of multi-proc computers. Managed vendors.

MICROSOFT/.NET or Hailstorm Services – Program Manager/Lead – Redmond, WA 2000 – 2003

Collaborated with developers/testers building (starting with version 1.0) & enhancing an externally facing web site that provisions partners and communicates via SOAP/XML on the backend with Passport, Alerts, and MSN wallet, including key distribution. Patent awarded. Wrote technical functional specifications, SQL migration plans, managed development trade-offs, and resolved problems/issues as they arose. Maintained numerous cross-team relationships, coordinated all deliverables and dependencies.
