Job responsibilities include creating deliverables (PDFs) with AutoCAD 2012 x64 with Bentley Products (Plant) on-top. These deliverables include pipe layouts and pipe isometrics, structural details, foundation details & drawings and preparing an array of associated drawings so fabricators & field personnel can create the specified product. These projects are ASUs or Air Separation Units and Steam Power Incinerators. MLEA helped design and engineer recent ‘heat recovery steam generators’ to recover excess wasted steam from gas turbines to generate more electricity. These machines were for CMI Groupe. 3D coordination and clash detection was a large part throughout all projects.
Other Job responsibilities: Assist IT and Networking staff with Desktop related problems; general windows issues and AutoCAD issues. Having a background in computers, was able to stream-line Windows 7 installation from the dreaded half day or more, this included updates, to a time frame of about 90 minutes.
Was asked to design, develop and build two computers for AutoCAD usage. The ending computers were high end gaming like computers featuring blazing fast processors, mountains of RAM and video cards that can supply 3 monitors of desktop with ample amounts of storage. HVAC, Piping and Plumbing Detailer
Was contracted through Technical Solutions Inc and designated as an HVAC, piping and plumbing detailer. This included duct, pipe and plumbing routing, sizes, annotation and elevation. Rerouted systems when necessary to accommodate all given aspects of sizes, structural, ceiling and floor plan limitations. Added notes, labels and other details to allow the worker in the field to understand and complete work according to said drawings. Also created BIM parts for specific projects where the typical part didn’t fit the design of the system. Worked with AutoCAD MEP 2013, Navisworks Manage 2013. During several projects, had to create overlays of floor plans to find differences and make notes for architect to review and adjust wall layouts when necessary.
Because of in-depth knowledge of computers; was asked to resolve a computer issue that was drastically hindering work flow (seven man hours each day). After lengthy and careful research, along with testing various solutions, the solution presented itself and the issue was resolved in mere seconds on seven computers.
Also created a purging procedure that removed excess and unused data from drawings that were used in .dgn based systems (Microstation and Integrated Graphics). This purging procedure eliminated the excess data, speed up drawings from opening to closing and reduced file size anywhere from 10 to 500%. Research was also required to figure this out.

Was a Cashier at the front of the store for two weeks before a voluntary transfer to the Café for a two month duration. During stay at café, was responsible for serving food, answering questions about food and closing occasionally which included cleaning all machines, all trays, tables, etc. General duties were to keep café presentable and clean while serving members of Sam’s club. General duties for being a cashier are to ring up the items and to answer any possible questions at check out.

Provided AutoCAD drafting support to help make changes to BIM (Building Information Model) files, dimension and print layouts. Work focused around the piping and plumbing aspects of commercial buildings, touching on the sheet metal aspect (the HVAC/Ducting) and structural areas (steel beams and concrete walls). Had to draw out walls in 3D to indicate where various systems were to penetrate through and make notes for adjustments as necessary. Became familiar with AutoCAD 2012 and Navisworks Manage here.
Because of advanced computer knowledge, was asked to look into V.O.I.P. or voice over internet protocol. This was to make it easier for conference calls and what was required to make it easy for those who were not highly computer literate.

Provided contingent AutoCAD drafting services to help with drawing work load of a new Fiber Optic network under the PENNREN Project, managed by Sunesys. Created permit plans for local and state municipalities. Helped draw strand map routes on telephone poles for most efficient and effective route possible. This included getting floor plan layouts to help show where cable route was to take place inside any indicated structure. Used AutoCAD 2011 and AutoCAD 2012 in conjunction with Photoshop CS5 and online map services to create site plans, maps and permits for project.
Also incorporated the use of PDF generation abilities with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Photoshop, as needed for Sunesys for permits, plans and other needed structural drawings. Oversaw and fixed any computer problem that arose during project at the engineering firm and applied any updates necessary to keep machines and software running at optimum levels. Helped perform any and all routine backups of server contents and conducted any and all server OS and application updates.
In April of 2011, a computer had a severe hardware and software failure; a reinstallation Windows XP was required and all the necessary software and updates. The hard drive that was installed was larger and the amount of RAM was doubled to increase speed and multitasking abilities.

Took detailed field drawings of all underground obstacles in designated work and added to route plans, spanning the length of the project. Also included working on gas pipeline routes in New Jersey from field notes. A non-disclosure was adhered to for all information pertaining to route and client.
Had to add RAM to machine to improve ability to open up large files. Also tuned machine to optimize performance as it was an older machine dealing with large files that would otherwise crash said machine.

Provided contracted AutoCAD drafting services through Aerotek to Cedars Telecommunications Group to help with a large project given by Zayo Group to handle a large series of new cell tower sites, underground and conduit cable layouts and to provide permits for local, state and any Federal level authorities and municipalities. Drafting floor plans from field sketches was required at various points to show cable layout through building above drop ceilings.
Also provided entry level computer tech support for Cedars when problems arose (was a weekly basis). Used Photoshop CS4 and CS5 in conjunction with AutoCAD R14 and AutoCAD 2008 to create site maps for permits.
Book Publication (Published March 28, 2016):
Self-published/Indie Author: Have published multiple fantasy books to date. They are a blend of Urban / Contemporary fantasy and High Fantasy (think our reality with elves and dragons). Published to Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, Kobo, iBooks (Apple) and various others. Responsible for all stages; from drafting to publication, including converting to ebook formats. Have several more books in pipeline. Leveraging social media to help spread word and to spread content of and from books.
Personal product is a part of the book series, featured in ‘Future Tech Corp.’ A 121 story tall fictional sky scraper that is situated in the ‘FlatIron District’ in the book. It uses MEP objects and real life specifications for the walls, structure, HVAC and Fire Protection systems. Various sections have been drawn out in extreme detail, while others are a WIP. Renders, drawing layouts and details are featured in my portfolio.
