Hewlett Packard is a well-known U.S. based company, which supplies varieties of MFPs all over the world to meet different customer needs. At Wipro Technologies we provide quality control & quality assurance services for these Products.

These MFPs support various features like Copy, Print and Digital Sending Jobs such as Fax (I-Fax, LAN FAX & Analog Fax), Email, Workflow and Send to Folder jobs. The Digital Sending processes are tested with the help of DSS (Digital Sending Software). The same Functionalities are embedded in the MFPs also, which undergo testing with the help of a web-based application, EWS (Embedded Web Server). GUI testing is performed for EWS functionality of the MFPs. MIMS, DIMS & QC test management tools are used for management of testing activities. Regression and Performance testing is done manually for these products whereas Fixed Focus, Memory leak and Duration testing is automated through scripts.

I have worked on automation of test cases using AntEater, PERL integrated along with TCL and shell scripting. Crashes occurring during Fixed Focus, Memory leak and duration are triaged; here we get all relevant data for the crash/hang, attach the debugger (GDB) to the crashed process. Logs and defects are logged into MIMS (internal) and QC (Quality Center). Leaks found during memory leak testing are identified and logged. I have written FQPs and fixed focus Test cases for various functionalities & localization issues.

Description:

This feature is intended for countries where people speak more than one language. The graphic control panel allows the user to change the language without entering or navigating menus. A new Language icon is provided on the Home as well as the Authentication screen. Clicking this user gets to select the language of his/her choice for that particular user session. This feature is implemented to assist the user in switching the language from the default configured language to his or her spoken language for the user session. The device will switch back to the default language either at the end of the inactivity timeout, when the reset button is selected, or when the user logs off in the case of authenticated session.
