My general responsibilities in the clinical setting included, but were not limited to:

Planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans

Completing daily progress notes and H&Ps with full knowledge of EMRs

Visits included sports physicals, well-child visits, routine physicals, acute complaints and chronic management of disease with multiple co-morbidities

Assisting with procedures such as pap smears, pelvic exams, digital rectal exams, suturing minor trauma, phlebotomy, vaccines, subq and IM medication administration

Interpreting labs, ultra-sounds, x-rays, CT scans, EKGs, MRIs, etc.

Performing BSN/RN duties such as triage, lab collection, blood draws, IV insertion, medication administration, wound dressing, rapid strep, etc.

Developing evidence based therapies, research, and guidelines for nursing staff, patients, and peers

As a Community Development Intern in Northfork West Virginia, Displayed notable empathy and interpersonal communication skills while aiding the underserved and impoverished in the fifth poorest county in America. Quickly mastered poverty relief construction, painting, and supervision of missions teams (children, teens, adults, and families). And finally, cultivated powerful team work capabilities when working with a variety of people from all over the nation ensuring that projects were efficiently completed for the good of the community.

As a way to become a contributing part of the community I thought elementary school children for six years each Sunday. I was able to mastered communication and education of children of all ages, different steps of life and socio-economic backgrounds.

As a missionary in Haiti on multiple occasions over two summers, I participated in clinical work including, but not limited to: teaching health education classes to children and adults both with the use of a translator, assisting in the eyeglass clinic, and grasped an understanding of cultural and language barriers along with resolutions.
