Managed implementation of FOCUSED IMPROVEMENT (FI) at a Smurfit-Stone corrugated container plant in Lithonia, GA (120 employees). Through FI, the plant has achieved varied levels of productivity improvement ranging from 10 to 20% and labor costs reduction of 15% as compared to 2005 year-end results.
Part of BEST OF CLASS (BOC) 4 member team for Smurfit-Stone charged with the responsibility of evaluating the performance of 35 plants in 10 weeks and making recommendations for productivity improvements through capital investments, systems implementation, sharing of best practices and labor force reductions.
