Recruited by the new HR head to serve as the company’s dedicated recruiter for this 1,300 person operation. The focus was on exempt and professional positions for company in three locations in Central Virginia. Position relocated to GA headquarters.

Selected as the first person to fill a human resources role in company’s Virginia office since opening in 2010. Handled overall human resources function in Richmond and Arlington, Virginia, King of Prussia and Lansdale, Pennsylvania, and Syracuse, New York, sites. The company moved the Finance and Human resources functions to the Chicago Corporate office in an economic measure.

Senior Director of Executive Search Business, 1997-2014

Served as the corporate recruiter for a major financial institution and also international manufacturing company with US Headquarters. Handled recruiting assignments with a wide range of clients in several functional areas; including engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, human resources, MIS, Lean manufacturing, research & development, marketing, sales, safety. environmental, and other functions. Examples of success included hired staff for two independent power plants and three manufacturing facilities totaling over 1,200 people.

Entrusted with total human resource function for this Swedish-based, $4.5 billion international division. Managed five direct reports, with responsibility for payroll, benefits, compensation, recruiting, labor and employee relations, Lean manufacturing initiatives, safety, training, executive development, and succession planning. Recruited over 125 professional, technical, and production positions, including a division CEO. Initiated diversity training program. Introduced DDI’s Targeted Selection system and minority recruiting effort. Negotiated EEO-OFCCP audit and served on business advisory group at Virginia Union University. Negotiated labor contract with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and closed two unprofitable service centers. This division was sold to an International Investment Group in late 1997 and the Human Resources function was re-organized.

Conducted performance appraisal process revision and implementation company-wide. Entrusted with employee relations and training and development responsibility for all levels of the company.
