EXPERIENCE:

Assistant Vice President, Brown Brothers Harriman, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, April 2007 – September 2016

Designed and implemented a Continuous Integration framework that allows for the automated build and deployment of BBH products using Jenkins and Dimensions Buiild. This framework leveraged our existing Dimensions platform and was built out to include automated builds, deployments to Application Servers, code comparison reports, unit tests, and security vulnerability scans to ensure quality and mitigate risk. This CI process greatly enhanced developer productivity and reduced the time of the build/deploy cycle. Also supported all CI-related configuration management activities on a day-to-day basis which included change control, version control management and configuration, code quality management, issue tracking with Service Now, build management and release management. Travel to European offices to conduct training and onboarding was done, as well.

Designed and implemented a new product for the Funds Transfer team. The Payment Uploader created a repository for standing payment instructions and allowed Funds Transfer to upload spreadsheets containing payment details directly into BBH’s payment system, eliminating faxes and the corresponding manual payment entry in FT Ops. For Phase 2 of the product, I managed development resources who carried on my work. I also created a JUnit-based testing framework (using MockObjects) to test the integrity of the application during each nightly integration build.

Managed and coordinated all development activities (5 developers) for PAS (Private Account Services) and authored all release-related documents. Oversaw the designing of all new modifications and enhancements as to ensure minimal impact on the existing design. Created a full-featured build integration environment. Nightly integration builds not only rebuilt and redeployed the newest code to WebSphere, but also ran automated JUnit/JWebUnit/JMeter tests, automated code reviews (for quality control) and various metrics-gathering tools. Reports are generated per-build and were all viewable through a centralized portal and were used to help monitor the health, integrity and performance of the system. Also acted as Systems Analyst by interfacing with the clients and translating their needs into functional specifications.

Developed enhancements to the existing batch process which included the addition of critical functionality to our existing libraries and an improved alerting mechanism for production support.

Designed and developed a web-based enhancement to MLIM’s SMH (Security Master Hub) project. This enhancement was used to gather and incorporate Bloomberg data into the SMH in an effort to centralize data throughout MLIM.As part of the merger with BlackRock Solutions, developed custom extracts using BlackRock's Extract Library (object-oriented Perl 5 modules) in order to produce client interface reports for existing Merrill Lynch customers.
