MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible of site and on board supervision and inspection of all ITP's (Inspection Test Plans) of electric and automation system of newly build ship during installation, commissioning, sea trial and until delivery where in to ensure that "Technical Specification" is being met & well followed by Yard in accordance to correct method of shipbuilding practice and standards associated with the implementation of new rules of classification societies. Inspection in highest standard and proper monitoring during the construction period of the ships are top priorities that enable to deliver the ship with high quality level and with less guarantee claims. Also responsible for acceptance of all electric equipments which are intended for the ships during maker (SAT & FAT) shop acceptance test and factory acceptance test.

DUTIES AND TASKS

Review the approved drawings, plans, technical specification, inspection & test plans (ITP's), memos and comments of Class and Owner intended for the ship.

Monitor & Check all electric and automation activities of Yard during the construction of the new ship and ensure that correct approved drawing, correct material & equipments, correct tools, correct procedures and technical specification are being well followed and well implemented. Such Yard activities are:

a.) Outfitting Works

b.) Installation Of Electrical Equipments Works

c.) Cable Pulling Works

d.) Cable Termination Works

e.) Testing Operation & Commissioning Works

Supervise Yard internal inspectors, engineers, Supervisors and foremen in order to ensure that scheduled plan will be met with good quality without repeating the works and in order to minimize punch lists and comments from Class & Owner during official inspection.

Attend Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Shop Test of all electrical & instrumentation equipments such as low voltage and medium voltage switchboards, consoles, transformers, alarm monitoring system, navigation system, including generators, thrusters and main engine.

Acted as Owner representative and participate during official inspection of all inspection and test plans (ITP's) of electrical & automation prepared by Yard QM.

Issue comments and corrective action related to electrical & automation and highlights areas of concern.

Making weekly and monthly progress report.

Resolve on board site issues related to design drawing and coordinate with other discipline.

Modify & amend drawing & plan related to electrical and automation whenever is applicable and coordinate to engineering design department for proper issuance of revision plan.

Ensure that all mechanical completion are all done before handover to Commissioning team.

Ensure proper and good preservation of electric and automation materials are well kept by Yard.

Attend official inspection during on board test and to make sure that correct procedures during testing and commissioning are well done and maker's requirements are met.

Coordinate with Class, Makers, Vendors and Yard QM.

Attend sea trial.

Ensure that all MC are completed before delivery of the ship.
