WORK EXPERIENCE

Bloomberg BNA

December 2014 – Present

Tijeras, NM

Bloomberg recruited me from Paychex after a lot of unsolicited pursuit. I wasn’t job hunting, but that didn’t stop their recruiters from persistently emailing and calling me for a meeting. They saw my work experience on LinkedIn and felt that I would be a great fit for Bloomberg. I finally took one of their phone calls and heard them out. I was unable to ignore higher pay and better insurance. My territory is the whole state of NM, the panhandle of Texas down to Midland/Odessa and the area over to El Paso. This year Tucson, AZ was added, as well. I meet with high level executives about their research and compliance needs. My clients are CPAs, attorneys, HR directors, IT directors, CFOs, COOs, payroll administrators and general counsels of large companies. I discuss their needs with them and find them the BNA solution that is the best fit. I also train them and their staff on the software that they have purchased. One sale can be aware from $2k to $25k depending on the products they purchase and number of users they need to have on the service.

Paychex

June 2012 – November 2014

Santa Fe, NM

I was a Sales Consultant for the Albuquerque District. When I started this position I was given a low producing territory in the South end of Albuquerque. Within the first 8 months, I had almost doubled that territory’s sales over the previous year’s numbers. I was then moved to a more lucrative territory in Albuquerque because another consultant left the company and my boss wanted “the best sales person on her team” to run that territory. Those where her words when she offered me that territory. Then in September 2013 our Santa Fe rep moved to a different division of the company which left his territory open. In our office, Santa Fe is considered “the gold mine”. Therefore, that territory is only given to reps with tenure and a proven track record of producing high sales without much supervision. So, my boss gave me “1stdibs” on that territory. I happily accepted it and did very well there, too.I was also a member of and heavily involved with the Santa Fe Chamber, BNI – Santa Fe Chapter, Santa Fe Women’s Networking Group, Santa Fe Green Chamber and National Association of Women Business Owners of New Mexico.

EcoLab

July 2004 –April 2012

Albuquerque, NM / HQ in St. Paul, MN

I worked with EcoLabfor over eight years. My first three years as a Route Manager for the Institutional Divisionrepairing commercial dish machines and a Territory Manager since March 1st, 2007. As both a Route Manager and a Territory Manager I had over 120 accounts that required monthly service visits to insure our equipment was functioning properly. I also surveyed their establishment to insure that their employees were following proper procedures in accordance with health code standards. When I found something in their establishment that needed improvement, I provided them with a solution from our inventory of thousands of products. My job also entails repairing our commercial dish machines, selling/installing our water filtration systems and softeners, installation and repair of our chemical dispensers as well as a lot of driving (in a company vehicle), so travel is not an issue for me. As a Territory Manager I was also responsible for bringing in new business. All of my sales calls were cold calls, business to business. I am ServSafe certified and very familiar with restaurant operations. Also, as a Territory Manager, I provided service and training to laundry, housekeeping and pool/spa customers as well as restaurants.
