An Oracle DBA with consulting, production support, and full life cycle implementation experience that spans fourteen years. Williams (7th Project) Current Project

Williams is migrating their databases from IBM AIX server to Linux servers. This cross platform migration involves movement from Big Endian platform to Little Endian. platform. Transportable tablespace technology along with rman convert and expdp and impdp is being used for this migration.

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (6th Project) January 2016 – April 2016

SMBC is implementing Data encryption for all its Oracle databases, both through Oracle TDE and Oracle Advanced Security Options. Data encryption will use both Software Encryption keys (Wallet/Keystore) and Hardware Security Module (HSM). HSM is implemented with Safenet’s Luna products. My responsibility is to demonstrate this technology and provide complete documentation for them to implement this for all their databases.

For Bank of New York Mellon, I am advising HP as they build a server to replace BNYM’s current server which is a 3 node RAC with 3 TB of memory and 240 cores CPU. Current responsibility is to provide a server architecture/sizing for HP’s SDX server build, based on AWR reports of BNYM. Reverse engineering based on Performance Reports.

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (4th Project) April 2015 – August 2015

SMBC required a data archiving and purging solution for its Oracle ebusiness suite (R12) that met the regulatory requirements of each of its branches across the globe. The solution provided was a combination of Oracle’s standard programs and custom code. The solution reduced the database size by 50% and reduced backup timings substantially. My responsibility included automating the purging process and reorganizing data after the purge. For this purpose I used PL/SQL, SQLloader, Datapump, Shell scripting and Oracle’s Standard Purge Programs.

National Pen had implemented Oracle ebusiness suite in 2007 and outsourced the DBA services. National Pen decided to discontinue services of their initial vendor and appointed us in their place. Essentially our task was to start the DBA services from scratch. We had to audit previous practices. We had to define practices and procedures. We setup monitoring afresh. I provide the technical road map for new projects in addition to regular Apps DBA services. I head the DBA team at NP and our services have been very highly rated. Our contract was being extended without a question.

The infrastructure includes ebusiness suite 12.1.2, with 11g database that includes a failover disaster recovery. Apart from financial and HR modules, irecruitment was implemented. OLF has to meet the highest standards of a secure environment. This standard was met for all the servers / services and the database too. Hosted 11.5.9 Vision instance for Oracle Hong Kong on Linux Redhat Advanced Server 2.5 with Traditional and Simplified Chinese NLS support. Ebusiness suite DBA responsibility included installation of vision instance and conversion of the database character set to UTF8 in order to support traditional and Simplified Chinese. Application of NLS patches. Installation of Oracle Financial Analyzer.

Installed 11.5.9 instance with Business flow accelerator for Oracle UK on Linux Redhat Advanced Server 2.5. This instance was hosted in India for the Sales force of Oracle UK. This instance was made available to clients of Oracle UK over the VPN, to demonstrate feature of ‘Business flow accelerator’. Ebusiness suite DBA responsibility included installation of ‘Business Flow Accelerator’ version of ebusiness suite.

Configured EMEA Sandbox (11.5.9 vision instance) for Oracle UK on Linux Redhat Advanced Server 2.5. This was a training instance for Oracle consultants all over Europe, Middle East and Africa. This instance was made available to consultants over Oracle’s own network. Ebusiness suite DBA responsibility included installation and periodic refreshing of database with out loss of User definition along with Menu and Responsibility definition. FNDLOAD was used to retain user definitions.
