Head, HR contract - 2013-2014
In addition to providing comprehensive HR support to 140 employees, my mandate included the successful transition of HR at EMD Canada to a new centralized delivery model. This necessitated moving from an entrenched in-country model to alignment with Global Centres of Expertise. It also required integrating the Canadian payroll with a shared services standard. Success depended upon skilled relationship building to understand the offerings, assess the potential benefits to Canada, and realize them. Examples include:
Established a trusted relationship with the new General Manager to support potential business transformation initiatives.
Operationalized key HR Suite processes aligned to global direction and deadlines while producing high quality output and providing a workable experience to people leaders.
Ensured country headcount targets and HR budget commitments were met.
Designed “peer-to-peer” recognition program to reduce administrative effort, enhance reporting capability, and offer a simplified and modernized alternative.
Created, initiated and analyzed relevant employment engagement measures. LISA CLINE HR CONSULTING, ANCASTER, ONTARIO
