Attn: Supply Chain Manager, GDKN
Human Resources, GDKN
I am interested in pursuing the supply chain analyst position at client’s Milwaukee, WI facility. My supply chain and project management background complement the collaborative and results-driven needs for the position. Experience as a Professional Buyer for Rockwell Automation in progressing roles and as a Procurement Specialist Lead at GE Power & Water have prepared me for this role type.
Professional Leadership: I led purchasing cost reduction meetings representing purchasing for Cat Mining SMIL. The meetings under my control resulted in $32,500 savings per rope shovel machine by the creation of recommendations to source three semi-critical parts to a competitive fabricator and casting house.
Strong buying experiences: I sourced 1500+ machined and fabricated components for Caterpillar's German-imported 6090 hydraulic mining machine in four months by understanding the current supply base and organizing the parts based on suppliers’ capabilities. I then chose the most competitive supplier based on cost/lead-time/ quality. This project was completed on-time and was competitive in final costs.
High proficiency in SAP/excel data analytics: I saved Caterpillar $135,000 by preparing quote packages identifying the OEM for 6000+ electrical components previously sourced from distributors. This was a project driven by myself once I saw the opportunity awhile working on typical analytical work for Caterpillar.
Understanding your company exists in a competitive production market your company seems to be a place where, over time, I could pursue similar collaborative projects to improve operations and profitability. I look forward to interviewing if my background is found to be suitable for the needs of your company.
