Nuclear Performance Review (N.P.R.) The application provided upper-level management with TVA monthly operation statistics. The application was IBM/AT-based system using dBase-III plus, DB Graphics and INSET. The application tracked documents and reported cross-referenced documents that replaced outdated procedures in adherence to NRC standards for safe reactor operations.

Quality Control Information System (Q.C.I.S.) The application allowed tracking of deficiencies of material and equipment received. The application was IBM/AT-based system using PC Oracle and COBOL.

Tracking Reporting Open Issues (T.R.O.I) Assisted in the conversion from IBM OS MVS JES2 and VSAM based application to DB2, COBOL, EZ-Trieve, JCL and CLIST. The application reported conditions internally prior to reporting to the N.R.C. of conditions adverse to quality.

Assigned to TVA Nuclear Power Chattanooga, Tn.

Thermo luminescent Dosimeter System (T.L.D.) assisted in the rewrite of the application that interfaced a DEC Vax 11/750 to a Panasonic TLD device which captured the type and amount of the radioactive isotope the individual was exposed to. This data was transmitted to the IBM mainframe 3083 via LU6.2 to the radiological control group at the corporate headquarters in Chattanooga, Tn. The data was subsequently reported to the N.R.C. The software was written in FORTRAN on the VMS operating system.
