Radiography Clinical Experience (6 rotations) August 2014-June 2016
Aventura Hospital and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital
Works under the supervision of clinical instructor and staff radiographers
Follows hospital patient-identification policy prior to performing examination
Prepares room, equipment and materials as needed for patients
Take diagnostic x-rays in digital and computed radiology while observing radiation safety practices at all times
Immediately upon completion of examination, verbally communicates with supervisor to ensure prompt review of images
Demonstrate and maintain professional conduct on clinical sites
Report competencies to clinical faculty
Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Experience September 2007-Present
Unit Service Coordinator
Works under the supervision of the RN charge nurse and performs general secretarial, computer, receptionist, and clerical duties including transcription and processing of physician orders on the nursing units.
Answers patient calls promptly, transfers calls, and obtains the appropriate information to manage the issue. Responds to Central Station Escort alarms by notifying the nurse.
Greets all parents, staff, physicians, visitors, and others and offers assistance. Serves as resource person to follow-up on requests from families, staff and physicians.
Maintains patient medical records and processes according to policy.
Performs all order requests from patient records entries.
Requests and follows up on servicing of non-functioning equipment
Effectively assists and supports guests as needed.
Supports and upholds the Patient’s Bill of rights.
