Inventory Manager TSC Stores, LP, London, ON June 2015 – October 19, 2016

Manage all facets of procurement and replenishment for 49 Ontario-based retail locations, in a heavily promoted (weekly flyer) environment. Directed a team of analysts, reducing inventory from $131M to $87M, while improving DC and retail store fill rates. Directly involved in executive strategic and lean process meetings and initiatives.

Position was eliminated due to a significant and prolonged downturn in sales.

Wholesale Tire Center Manager Goodyear Wholesale Tire Center, Buffalo, NY Sept 07 – June 15

Manage all facets of distribution on a regional basis, including Sales, Marketing, Transportation, Warehousing, Inventory Control, and Human Resource. Responsibilities include all activities relative to the distribution center’s P&L statement. Improved center performance from 42nd (of 42) to 1st, within first 8 months, based on unit volume, revenue and earnings before income taxes. Maintained the #1 position for 13 consecutive months thereafter. Successfully converted to SAP.

Distribution Center Manager Clopay Building Products, Long Island, NY July 06 - Mar 07

Managed all facets of logistics and distribution on a regional basis, including Transportation, Warehousing, Inventory Control, Human Resource and Sales. Responsibilities encompassed all activities relative to the distribution center’s P&L statement. Reduced inventory variance from a shrinkage of $750,000, to $155,000, while dramatically increasing revenue. Extensive use of Oracle 11i software to perform daily tasks.

Start-up company. Responsibilities included the development, deployment and maintenance of all marketing, sales and operational elements, including but not limited to directing creative design, copywriting, web design and functionality. Marketing/sales strategies were developed, materials distributed, and advertising campaigns initiated to support the business. Established relationships with prospective travel partners and member properties.

Director of Distribution & Operations ETS, Inc., Indianapolis, IN Oct 94 - Feb 05

Responsibilities expanded from Warehousing and Distribution (including Purchasing), to include Transportation, Security, Maintenance, Resource Center and remote locations. Focused on driving cost out, utilizing 5S and Lean concepts, while converting the division into a profit center. Reduced inventory variance from $700K to $15K in 12 months. Responsible for a $10M budget, including reductions in force from 112 to 45, and from 6 to 3 direct reports, through modernization in systems/equipment and process enhancements. Intimately involved in upgrades and integration of Oracle, Move, BP Links, Mapics and Axapta operating/material handling systems. Inventor of lamp packaging for the safe transport of inherently fragile fluorescent lamps in a parcel-shipping environment (Patent Number 5,826,722 Date: Oct 27, 1998).

Distribution Center Manager Keebler Company, Ft. Wayne / Indianapolis, IN July 88 - Oct 94

Coordinated all facets of logistics and distribution on a regional basis, including Transportation, Warehousing, Inventory Control, Human Resource and Sales. Efforts resulted in performing as the least cost, most productive center (of 66) in the country. Closed and consolidated the Ft. Wayne operation into Indianapolis, prior to established deadline, without supply chain disruption, while increasing customer service level and decreasing cost.
