Set up database of inventory for easy order processing / picking / fulfillment. Counting inventory (thousands upon thousands of containerized plants), ensuring our initial data is correct and plants are easily locatable!

Provide client care to the existing landscaper and retail garden centre customers, invoicing orders prior to shipping and adjusting inventory counts.

Work in the greenhouses or container fields as required by time / season, including building and running irrigation lines with individual plant drippers, connected to the water supply, trimming/pruning, weeding, stacking containers for winter storage, moving plants, tagging plants & loading delivery trucks.

As a Realtor, in addition to providing Opinion of Value reports, I regularly negotiate the terms of listing agreements & purchase offers, following through as liaison in the subsequent “closing” of the sale, including overseeing all required inspections in meeting of other conditions to the sale. This includes the paperwork, MLS data entry, any photography and advertisements / social media, the tactful verification of title/municipal/ownership of the parties to any given transaction, and safe handling of deposit money.

Diffuse potentially volatile situations involving owners, potential buyers, tenants or others during listing, showing appointments or other encounters. As the selling (or buying) of ones home is a complicated process that is inherently emotional and stressful, I helped to demystify the process by answering any outstanding questions or concerns, helping my clients to manage their emotions & personal attachments as they arrive at a responsible, prudent and reasonable price at which to buy or sell a property.

Responsible for ALL Internet / Social Media related aspects of sales departments for Viking Motors GM and Westshore Marine (Polaris, Yamaha, GM product lines), operated as one business. This included taking pictures, creating product pages, listings and ads. I was the first point of contact for all online leads and inquiries, published a monthly newsletter to our customers & oversaw Movember fundraising.

Oversaw the implementation of a company-wide CRM (Customer Relations Management) system for all salespeople, tracking incoming leads. Educated and supported staff on its most efficient & practical uses.

Setup and managed the automatic daily data transfer from our internal inventory systems to our website (VikingMotors.ca, which I managed), Auto Trader, Kijiji, and various other automotive websites capable of handling our data feed. Placed manual ads and published a monthly powersports related e-newsletter.

Setup and managed company-wide email systems and instructed and supported staff with the installation & integration of their email accounts and our CRM technology on their various devices for ease of use and quick access while working with customers. Provided regular respite care for an indigenous child in the foster system suffering with FASD. Most care was provided in-home, including homework, regular chores, meal preparation, hygiene and other basic life / self-care skills, and assisting in getting to school fully prepared. It was also very important to provide a “holistic”, well rounded care experience with equal access to both contemporary cultural / religious support systems (ie youth group at church) and to more traditional cultural / religious supports and gatherings such as pow-wow's, sweatlodges and other “community” / culturally focused activities.

In the past I have assisted children with Autism spectrum & Downs syndrome in various settings & scenarios like at school, 1on1 (respite) & summer camp as an “Access Buddy” (Camp Arnes via CFS).

My name is Kristopher and I am currently employed with Vanstone Nurseries in Portage la Prairie. I am, however, hoping to relocate back to Winnipeg. I have recently worked in technology, internet / social media related fields (with GM Canada as an Internet Sales Manager at Viking Motors in Arborg, MB), implementing and integrating our CRM systems with the sales team and our inventory data – which also was output to several different websites. During this time I tested and implemented processes, and even worked with AutoTrader testing a beta version of their smartphone inventory app prior to its finalization. I have also developed and tested my own software in the past including some basic coding / programming, and have been in charge of past projects like FeatureSale.com (3rd party developed), PrivacyPolicy.ca / PIPEDA.net and goIT.ca (both developed myself), and been webmaster/statistician for the KJHL & Arborg Ice Dawgs.

As a Realtor I marketed myself and used our internal software to help organize customer relations, provide support / info, publish listings and prepare documents necessary for buying or selling a property, plus prospecting current listings for my buyer clients. I spoke with & met new people daily!

I am also a passionate hobby writer and novice musician, and enjoy a wide variety of activities across those mentioned, and many other diverse areas. I attended my 4th Winnipeg Folk Festival as a volunteer this July, working again with Campground Safety, and continue to feel great about being part of something so large, intricate, positive and which is such a wonderful experience to so many people!
