Communication – 100% (first attempt) student pass rate for the multi -engine instrument rating the most difficult FAA certificate to teach and achieve.

Musicianship – Accompl ished musician with the abi l ity to play guitar, bass, drums, and piano. Performed with original projects and led writing, recording, and digital audio engineering. DETAILS OF EXPERIENCE

Lead Implementation Engineer – Solely performed as the ‘front l ine’ and proverbial smi l ing face of the company working with new customers designing a network to PCI-DSS standards to fit their needs. This required accommodating a vast array of equipment such as servers (Linux & Windows), IP phone systems, Point of Sale, Wi-Fi Access Points, inventory scanners, etc. PCI-DSS – Personal ly designed and deployed over 500 networks (have documents upon request) using NESSUS vulnerabi l ity scanning through IPsec and segmented VLANs to maintain security standards. Helped many customers through their PCI audits explaining and resolving al l known CVEs as wel l as assisting our own PCI audits . Routing/IP Management – Employed many types of routing including static, OSPF, PBR (Pol icy Based), and BGP for multi - homing. Al l customer LANs resided on a supernet which demanded al l subnets and routes be unique to be reachable. With more than 3500 subnets connected to our redundant central hubs I have developed advanced IP troubleshooting ski l ls. WAN/ISP – Worked with many types of connections including DSL, MPLS, Private Fiber Circuits, T1 and T3. Coordinated with many ISPs with bridging modems to activating publ ic IP address blocks. IPsec Mesh – Worked with thousands of IPsec VPNs creating ‘on-demand meshes’ for many different customer needs. Some included Data-Center to Data-Center, Hub & Spoke, Spoke to Spoke, and exploring DMVPN (Dynamic Multi -Point) capabi l ities. Most al l VPNs were transporting banking & healthcare data and were subject to security audits . High-Availability – Designed and deployed highly avai lable routers for high-end 5th3rd Bank customers uti l izing SVRRP (VIP) with Heartbeat and dead port decrementing.

Load-Balancing/Fail-over – Configured many multi -WAN routers with ‘round-robin’ and ‘weighted’ load-balancing with ISP fai l -over.

UTM – Configured and maintained many types of Threat Management including IDS, IPS, DPI, DPI -SSL, Gateway Anti -Virus, Content Fi ltering, Appl ication Fi ltering, Stateful Firewal l Rules, White & Black Lists, and Rogue Access Point Detection. Uti l ized a proprietary SEIM that alerted us to potential breaches via off-site syslog col lection and analysis. Domain Integration – Configured network equipment to authenticate domain users and provide ‘spl it-DNS’ for different customers. Also configured many cl ients with a Two-Factor LDAP authenticated remote SSL VPN connection for remote or

‘road-warrior’ users.

Server/Workstation – To a lesser degree I was involved in maintaining Hyper-V based servers running both Windows and Linux. I’m very comfortable on the Linux CLI and have deep knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems. I’ve also deployed fi le, Emai l, SQL, and web servers.

Diagnosis/Monitoring – Used PRTG, ping plotter, and other network monitoring solutions to maintain uptime. Frequently performed ‘packet captures’ as a vital technique to resolve complex network issues such as routing loops. Communication/Organization – Worked and coordinated with many different IT vendors providing customers with services l ike DVR systems, IP phone service, and off-site database access that needed to go through our equipment. Performed many remote instal ls of our equipment with instal lation teams, sometimes throughout the night. Often worked on customer equipment to go the extra mi le in customer service troubleshooting servers and other issues they felt may have been the fault of the network but wasn’t. Aside from ticket system entries, I maintain a portable ‘wiki ’ where I document every procedure I accompl ish al lowing me to easi ly repl icate solutions rel iably in the future especial ly for tasks that aren’t done frequently.

Was directly involved in regular Del l SonicWALL developer meetings where I communicated bugs I had found with the firmware and features that needed to be improved.
