Significant Projects:

Agritech, LLC - Designed computer system and software, using Siemens equipment, for a food quality oil extraction, processing and packaging facility. System allows a single operator to control all aspects of production. Production and product data is stored, manipulated and distributed to the appropriate personnel on the network.

Williams Pipeline Company - Designed and implemented hardware and software for a computer control and monitoring system handling a high capacity natural gas custody transfer station. System provides real-time and historical information, via LAN and WAN, for operational and managerial usage. The system was developed on a MS Windows platform linked to both a local Foxboro DCS network and the company’s nationwide network.

HESS - Designed and implemented the hardware and software for remote terminals to automatically operate a series of flow control stations to and from a large CO2 tertiary oil recovery injection facility, and also report status data to the main operations center. Remote terminals were capable of both accepting commands from the main operations center and of functioning independently. I designed and created the hardware and software for a communications interface between Bristol Babcock equipment and a Honeywell TDC-3000 Primary DCS.

POSCON: Seoul, South Korea – Designed a control and data acquisition computer system for two large liquid natural gas (LNG) receiving, storage and transportation facilities in Seoul and Taegu (Daegu), South Korea. The system uses redundant Hewlett Packard servers and HP workstations on an HP-UX platform. The system is utilized by operations and management personnel, and is intended for use by up to 500 users. This system was designed to become part of a nationwide network with the capability of handling several thousand operators.

Texaco: Mabee Field - Redesigned and implemented computer and telemetry system for an oil field monitoring and control network composed of over 217 remote radio telemetry and control units. The system uses Motorola dedicated frequency radios, spread spectrum radios, Bristol Babcock and Modicon control equipment to remotely operate and monitor oil production equipment.
