Banque Rothschild- Paris, France – Correspondent Banking Manager (Italy) – Established prime and secondary correspondent network with the bank. In particular reviewed relationship feasibility; discussed country risk and decision taker in the credit limit allocation; initiated and developed correspondent banking relationship based on bank’s profitability objectives. Travelled to the financial institutions in Italy; developed financial exchange based on counterpart industry expertise and the bank’s needs within the credit limits and risk mitigation.

Banco di Roma – Paris, France. International Loans Officer (Latin America), Letters of Credit Advisor/ Assisted the Head of L/C unit in all L/C matters and advised clientele on ways to open credits and review their needs.

First Chicago – Paris, France – Head of Letters of Credit and bank guarantees. Administrated the unit and increased the flow of L. /Cs through the Paris branch of this US bank with activities in the Middle East and Europe. 1st Chicago became the prime venue for the Beirut-based branch because of the quality performed in Paris.

Credit Industriel & Commercial – London – U.K. Assistant Head – International Department. Covered all functions from L/C’s; bank guarantees; documentary credits; remittance, etc. London Branch became the go to platform for all commercial financial activities due to the speedy quality provided.

EDUCATION

Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) – SIU (Schiller International University) – Paris, France – (1985) accredited in the USA.

Master Degree in International Trade – IFCI – (institute de Formation au Commerce International – Ecole Superieure de Commerce) – Clermont-Ferrand – France (1982) accredited in the USA. This degree was based on two elements: 1 – Theory; 2- Practice. This led to a nine-week trip to KSA; UAE and Kuwait with several missions: 1-markets surveys; 2- distributor set up; 3-market quality control; 4-general market review. Ended by a thesis on the Middle East commercial approach. Accredited in the USA.
