JOB DESCRIPITON
Under the general direction of the Chief/ Head nurse. Performs overall registered nursing care. Maintains optimum standards of nursing care and practice through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinated with treatment centre personnel to obtain patients' vital statistics and medical history, to determine the circumstances of the emergency, and to administer emergency treatment.
Administered drugs, orally and by injection, and performed intravenous procedures under a physician's direction.
Carried out diagnosis and check-up of patients brought into the emergency room.
Operated equipment such as ECG and bag-valve mask resuscitators in advanced life-support environments.
Administered first-aid treatment and life-support care to sick and injured persons.
Comforted and reassured patients.
Observed, recorded, and reported to physician the patient's condition and injury, the treatment provided, and reactions to drugs and treatment.
