Turbo machinery engineering, software development and manufacturing firm with main multiple offices in Wilder, VT, Chelmsford, MA, Sandy, Utah and Sri Lanka.

Chief Information Officer

Directed a team of engineers and helpdesk people to provide all IT services. Became both the Security Officer and Safety Officer, creating and implementing policies to ensure legal compliance for all local, state and federal standards standards. Managed facilities in Vermont and Massachusetts including supervision of maintenance staff, leading capital improvement projects and ensuring building safety for all employees.

Specific projects completed include:

Designed and implemented a full upgrade of the infrastructure and servers, going from multiple single-points of failure to a true business continuity environment with nearly zero downtime.

Led move of the Woburn, MA office to Chelmsford, MA in 2012 in just two months. Negotiated with the landlord to extricate Concepts NREC from a lease, saving the company $2MM+.

Led the selection/implementation process for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Project Management systems.

Coordinated the installation of a new Avaya telephony system, reducing telephony costs by over 50% and allowing employees to be reached at a single phone number, regardless of their location including those working from home or at a remote site.

Led the implementation of a user-maintained Sharepoint intranet environment which enabled engineers and management to search stored documents, the company website, intranet content and competitors’ websites from one interface.

Led company-wide upgrade to Windows 7 desktops with virtually no impact to employees.

Chaired the committee which created the company’s security policy based on ISO27001 standards. Acknowledged by the ISO auditor as “the best security policy I’ve ever seen” while making the company compliant with yet-to-be enforced standards.

As appointed Safety Officer and chair of the Safety Committee, developed OSHA-compliant corporate Safety program and coordinated its implementation.

Experience: 3 Medical Center campuses (617 beds in the main location) and 59 remote clinics providing services throughout central and western Connecticut.

Sr. Systems Engineer/Infrastructure Team Lead

Managed a team of engineers which built and supported connectivity for three hospital campuses and 59 clinics with nearly 100 buildings in all.

Specific projects completed include:

Completely rebuilt the infrastructure for three hospitals and 70 clinics

Co-managed the Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) deployment, a fully-redundant system for one of the busiest emergency departments in Connecticut.

Planned and coordinated a highly-secure, full wireless installation with 200+ access points for clinical, telephony, and general use.

Worked with the current Medical Director to implement a new Dental software environment for their teaching clinic

Network Supervisor

Supervised the help desk for Holyoke Hospital and the River Valley Counselling Center Clinics for outpatient social service clinics. Worked on multidepartment capital budgets, including servers, infrastructure and other computer-related equipment. Served as Member of the Information Systems Security, Umass Medical Center IT and Valley Health Systems Information Management Committees
