October 14 – Maintenance/Inventory Supervisor NCS Fuel (Afghanistan)

Main Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair fuel dispensing equipment such as Gilbarco, Talheim, Wayne and Tuthil also report any issues to the maintenance Manager

Change hoses, nozzles and breakaways on fuel dispensing equipment

Maintaining veeder root tank gauges.

Makes repairs and maintains fuel pumps and motors.

Makes semi-annual calibration on fuel pumps to ensure accurate gallons are pumped.

Installation of fuel level sensors

Calibration of flow meters

Hose pressure testing

Fuel dispensing units maintenance

Main Responsibilities:

Responsible for all the fleet not limited to vehicles only but also plant equipment, Mechanics and drivers and making sure equipment’s are available for operations on two sites.

Prioritizing work, raising work requests and making sure preventative maintenance and service is done on equipment’s.

Inventory and ordering spare parts.

Fuel and lubricant Reconciliation.

Reduced the amount of spare parts which was being used within a period of 3 months which made Helped the company to save money in my first 3 months after I joined them.

Responsible of making sure all the trucks and Pumps are in good working order and the aircraft refuelling trucks meet quality standards

. In charge of 20 Mechanics, 34 Aircraft refuelling trucks, 20 Diesel delivery vehicles, 15 Pumps.

Maintaining Multi million dollars’ worth of equipment and fuel storage for NATO..

Maintained a 100% QA rate on all aircraft refuelling trucks.

Helped company not to lose contract

Received a Medal of honour from NATO.

Helped Maintenance department on critical decisions

Helped Company not to lose money on training maintenance staff.

Part of the team that commissioned 20km fuel pipeline.

Part of the team that started Maintenance department in Somalia.
