2.South of Cairo Power Station (Ministry of Electricity in Egypt) 2004-2011
Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer (I&C)
Cairo south power station consists of 3 gas turbines GE Frame 9” GE speed tronic Mark IV, turbine control”110MW and Combined cycle project. This cycle project loads through heat recovery steam generation system into steam turbine” GE speed tronic Mark V turbine control” 60 MW, Boiler Control and accessories as pumps, and compressors “DCS control system.
Responsible for providing leadership and technical resources to support team of maintenance technicians
Supervise and maintain systems such as Mark IV, Mark V, and DCIS systems.
Recalibrate, troubleshooting and analyze set points for control the equipment which monitored the unit such as Pressure switches, Power measurements, Level transmitters, Automatic valve, Sensors, switch gear panels etc
Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of turbine control to determine control over such variables as temperature, level, pressure,….etc.
Prepare and disseminate all required documentation such as, (e.g., alarm and trip list, cause and effect diagrams, logic diagrams, control narratives, etc…) project specifications, instrument data sheets, level sketches, requests for quotation, configuration, and graphics development and reported them to management on a monthly basis.
Utilize PLC control systems connected on the water treatment systems that has Allen-Bradley and Human Machine Interface software to effectively control systems for the gas turbine control unit, In case of design change; involved with PLC programming and HMI system graphic and database design.
