Characterization of pigments used in Arts through Rutherford Backscattering spectrometry Mar 2016 - Aug 2016
Pigments collected from ASU art museum are characterized using RBS to know the elemental composition.
The RBS data is analyzed and compared with PIXE data. Applications and Limitations of these pigments are studied based on the Analysis.
Study of Water Permeation through Hydrophobic and durable Polysiloxane coating for improving topside corrosion resistance- Nov 2014 - Dec 2015
Accelerated corrosion testing is done in NaCl solution. Characterization of moisture diffusion of the Sample using Infrared spectroscopy techniques (FTIR) and characterization of the coatings using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy is done.
As a result of the experiments conducted it is observed that the coatings developed are more corrosive resistant than the available commercial alkyd coatings.
Statistical Analysis of Mobile Battery Backup using Minitab Aug 2014 - Dec 2014
Conducted experiment to determine which smart phone between Google Nexus 5 and Samsung SIII has the best battery backup. Also identified the significant factors that are responsible for battery draining. Al – granite (ALGG) composites were produced by stir casting with ground powder particles of variable sizes. Increasing hardness and decreasing density of the composites is observed with decrease in the size the granite particles than the base alloy. CoCuFeNi, AlCoFeNi, CoCrFeNi, AlCoCuFeNi (High entropy alloys of Cobalt, Iron, nickel, Chromium, Copper and Aluminum) were synthesized through Induction Melting.
Alloys were characterized using XRD and SEM. Mechanical properties of the alloys are tested using Universal Testing Machine.
