NYC Taxi Trip Data Analysis

Analyzed NYC Taxi Data to observe the performance of the vendors over the years, understand the peak business hours so that the business can be planned accordingly, identify different payment methods used by customers and find a correlation between distance range and tip amount.

Java, Hadoop, Apache Hive technologies have been used.

Twitter Data Mining

Analyzed Twitter data to find a correlation between tweeters who talk about unhealthy eating habits on twitter, and their followers. Also examine who amongst the tweeters is an “influencer” (if any), who actually influences others to talk about unhealthy eating.

Python, Hadoop and Machine Learning (NLTK Package and Weka) have been used.

NE SIT W2 & 1099 Efile

Lead NE SIT Project to convert W2, 1099 CD filings into EFI framework and generate electronic filings.

Performed Impact Analysis and prepared the Design document.

Developed generic EFI components which work for all e-filing jurisdictions. This saves 15 hours of development effort when e-filing needs to be set up for any jurisdiction.

GA SIT XML G1003

Taken end-to-end ownership to build EFI framework for GA G1003 and generate XML filings. Developed XML templates and mappings as per Schema and Requirements.

Developed programs, procedures, jobs, and data cards as per the project requirements.

Developed common XML template for Annual filings.

DT W2 ANR Combined e-File

Converted Detroit MI Annual Recon and W2s to a combined custom format via the agency web browser using EFI framework.

Developed new components (JCS, PRS, DTA and SR2/SRC) needed for e-file trigger insertion, trigger release and to capture acknowledgement status using EFI framework.

Performed unit testing and supported QA team in integration testing.

Other Works

Developed and implemented a generic Pre-production testing feature per GA Agency Requirement. This generic design is as well applicable to any Agency that requires a round of testing before the actual production run. This implementation saves development effort up to 60 – 80 hours when any jurisdiction requests for pre-production testing feature.

Lead the W2 change request to design, develop and implement the addition of New Wage field to the W2 Application.
