EXPERIENCE

Reservoir Engineer - Corporate Reserves (Jun. 2014 to Nov. 2015), Kinder Morgan CO2

Project managed the company’s quarterly and year end SEC Oil, gas and CO2 reserves of assets in the Permian Basin.

Coordinated reserves reporting and audits with third party groups.

Conducted weekly meetings with asset teams to review reserves bookings and ensure all reserves meet SEC guidelines.

Performed acquisitions and divestitures engineering analysis (data room); projects ranging up to $700 Million.

Performed well performance analysis, decline curve analysis and cash flow analysis on current and future assets and capital projects in ARIES.

Led and mentored two assistant project managers to assist in daily operations and to oversee operations.

Developed new processes, collaborated with marketing, finance and engineering teams to streamline the reserves processes and improve KPI’s and accuracy to meet request deadlines.

Prepared and evaluated drilling (horizontal & vertical), well completions, work-over and other AFEs (Authorization for Expenditures); budgeting $1 - $10 Million.

Provided prospect risk/volume evaluations, exploration well planning/execution products, and life-of-field development planning.

Identified bypassed pay and made economic and technical recommendations for capital recompletions.

Provided management with investment recommendations of emerging U.S. onshore opportunities for all Operated by Others (OBO) properties and AFEs received for the entire Mid-Continent BU (Piceance, Powder River, Green, Wind River and Uinta Basins): budgeting $1 - $30 Million.

Performed well performance analysis, decline curve analysis and cash flow analysis on current and future assets and capital projects in PEEP.

Performed ongoing surveillance of production, capital performance, expenses, revenue and other operating data in order to work directly with operators to correct issues, keep management apprised of current performance and maintain effective processes for optimizing asset performance.

Provided assistance to the land team regarding complex contracts and joint venture agreements.

Mid-Continent OBO total reserves increased; maintained 15 – 30 day deadlines.

Worked closely with numerous departments including Land, Drilling, Facilities, Legal, Finance, Joint Interest Billing, Production Accounting, in addition to other Oxy Business Units.

Oversaw the Business Unit (BU) reserves estimation and documentation process for Oxy’s Mid-Continent BU.

Ensured reserves booking processes were properly followed, in line with recognized industry practice and according to corporate guidelines.

Liaised with Occidental Petroleum Corp. (OPC) Reserves Team for consistency of process, mechanics, implementation and documentation of reserves.

BU’s focal point for content, logistics and discussions relating to annual reserves and resource estimates.

Coordinated reserves reviews with the planning team, defined processes and methods, guidelines and deadlines from the OPC Reserves Team.
