COVER LETTER
TO: UPSTREAM OIL AND GAS COMPANY
FROM: GEORGE H GRINESTAFF
SUBJECT: JOB APPLICATION
DATE: 11/23/2016
Greetings;
I’m applying for the position of Reservoir Engineer. As a young man, I grew up in the oilfields of Wyoming. After university, I moved north to Alaska where my subsurface and leadership skills were developed in Prudhoe Bay. I have had the privilege of making significant achievements in the Middle East, North Sea, and Gulf of Mexico. During the last 6 years, I have worked independent O&G in Texas, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. I have completed lease acquisitions, exploration, and have evaluated production for several onshore US plays including Marcellus, Bakken, and Permian. I started working unconventional plays in Alaska in 1998. Applying a diversity of experience and understanding the people and business is where my skills will provide profitable leadership for business development. Please check my references and you will find that I come highly recommended. It would be a pleasure to serve with your company during this crucial point in our industry when the business needs sound technical work and leadership with character.
