Management of the General Contractor on HVAC projects associated with the Wake County Public School System. These projects require updating of the HVAC equipment as part of the Diversified Maintence program.

Equipment Room Project Manager/Vendor Manager, 2014-2014

Connectivity Wireless – Duluth, GA Project Manager for design/build of equipment rooms for Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and associated wireless carrier equipment. This company did not understand the steps involved with design/build of such rooms, i.e. an Engineer must generate a set of permitting drawings. Once I educated them, they decided not to be in that business. This lead to my layoff.

Construction Project Manager, 2011-2014

Auburn University – Auburn, AL Owner’s representative for construction projects. Management of the General Contractor on HVAC projects associated with the Auburn School of Veterinary. This project required updating of the HVAC equipment in several research laboratories. I have managed the upgrade of the HVAC system with Auburn University’s Biological Research Facility, this effort included replacement and incorporation of redundant systems. I am presently managing a renovation project for the Biological Engineering Research Laboratory with funding being provided by the NSF. Monitored the budget, schedule, and scope of work of assigned projects, insuring the owner received those items required by the contract. Title: Manager IV

Anverse, Inc. – Cartersville, GA Managed all phases of construction projects, including coordinating design efforts with architects and engineers, selecting contractors and managing scope of work, developing Statements of Work and bid packages, and mitigating risk through close project monitoring. Evaluated, selected, and negotiated bids. Recommended lighting control, General Contractor, flooring, subcontractor, and other solutions to the CEO.

Created a General Contractor company within the organization for 2 projects with a total value of $36 million, taking on multiple contracting/construction functions and generating $3.7 million in savings as a result.

Led the entire design function for the Tellus and Booth expansion projects, directing architect, MEP designers, civil engineer, interior designer, and lighting consultant (critical for museum projects). Involved in all phases and achieved time, budget, and quality goals for both projects.
