UG Project:

Title: “Modeling and tube side analysis of shell and tube heat exchanger considering the effects of baffle inclination angle on fluid flow”.

Abstract

The objective of project is to analyst the heat transfer efficiency to shell and tube heat exchanger with different baffles.The shell side design of a shell and tube heat exchanger,in particular baffle angle dependence of the heat transfer coefficient and the pressure drop are investigation numerical modeling a small heat exchanger,the stimulation result for various shell and tube heat exchanger,one with segmental baffles perpendicular fluid flow and two with segmental baffles to the inclined direction of fluid flow are compared to the performance.From the CFD stimulation results,the shell side outside temperature,pressure drop, recirculation near the baffle,heat exchanger,optimal mass flow rate and the optimum baffle inclination angle given of the heat exchanger geometry are determined,it is quite simple the analyses for critical flow and the surface properties inside the heat exchanger.
