Professional Experience

Realtor (Self-Employed) 3/2014 – Current

As a Realtor, I own and manage a small business specializing in residential properties.

Created and executed annual marketing plans incorporating Google Ads, Geo-Farming, Open Houses, Newsletters, Social Media, etc. to create my brand

Continuously monitor marketing results to make adjustments to the most and least effective programs

Building client list with 100s+ leads

Real Estate Investor 3/1999 – 6/2007

As a Real Estate Investor, I partnered with a construction company to procure, develop, and sell high end residential real estate.

Selected and procured the lots, oversaw architectural design/plans, managed the construction process, meeting both schedule and budget goals.

Managed the construction financials to control costs and set final sales price.

Intel Corporation (Folsom, CA)

Strategic Planner 6/2004 – 1/2011

As a Strategic Planner, I managed the 18+ month 3 phase planning lifecycle to establish and obtain support for the software and hardware platform strategies, requirements, and new business opportunities.

Defined the good, better, best strategies to distinguish the features between various price points of each platform.

Drove a consumer quantitative study for platform to define targeted usages and measure customer appeal to facilitate feature prioritization.

Drove user optimization study for platform to define usages with suggested price points to determine which bundles of features would produce the most user appeal and willingness to buy.

Managed the financials for platform with a cost/benefit analysis of each new feature to justify its priority while ensuring platform met product margin goals.

Identified new business opportunities such as a new set of technologies that would prevent online identity theft. Drove a team of architects to deliver a feasible architecture as part of the concept approval. Through this analysis, a $50M opportunity was identified. The concept was approved, including resources and funding to intercept the 2009 platform.

Identified and monitored risks throughout the project. Defined mitigation plans for each risk with options for marketing and the development teams. An example was the projected decline of the number of vendors manufacturing an external clocking component critical to the platform. Risk was a cost issue to the platform in the event the one remaining vendor increased pricing of the component. Cost/benefit analysis determined when the component cost would exceed the cost of integrating the functionality driving the need for integration.

Project managed external vendor to design/develop the initial 10 foot user interface for the digital home software stack using rapid development techniques. Drove requirements for the software stack which included a media server, control module, and networking module.

“Kathi has the talent of pulling people together. She almost creates some kind of ‘gravity well’ around her teams that keeps key contributors proactively and internally engaged.” RS, Project Stakeholder

Insured customer requirements were met and customers were ready to launch. Worked very closely with a major OEM to obtain the first Microsoft® Media Center design win using our integrated graphics. Received Divisional Award from Director of Marketing for the design win effort/success.

Defined creative options and business impact analysis to resolve schedule issues, feature gaps, and expectation misalignments within the performing organizations. Example was partnering with hardware marketing to deliver early samples of the graphics chip to enable customer to build production boards in time to meet customer feedback deadlines for software bugs.

“Kathi clearly understands the customer needs and demands and she works to clearly define the priorities.” DL, Manager

This was a new approach and was accepted by the development tools architect and engineering groups as well as the customer base.

Project Manager to implement a service-oriented focus, as opposed to product-oriented focus for rapid web application development/deployment. Defined components of each service and drove the release process for launch. This approach ensured the program introduced total integrated solutions to the customer while at the same time streamlining the process of releasing products into Intel’s environment.
