SUMMARY of Qualifications
I was previously an IT intern for almost 2.5 half years. As an intern I provided on site help desk support to the company’s employees. The whole plant was required to upgrade to windows 2010 and I was responsible for upgrading all of the offices. I conducted classes on how to operate the windows 2010 system along with the various Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, etc.) I showed individuals how to use the new features that the system had offered. I performed troubleshooting to company servers. When the hurricane hit Chesapeake and the company’s servers went down a while back, I was able to work with their corporate office to get things back up and running. I have experience formatting hard drives after computers crashed and ensured they met IBM standards. I have installed VPN software for home users. I am currently perusing a degree in network management. In my classes I am learning about IP networking, doing computer repairs, and programming.
