EDUCATION

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, NY Graduated in May 2015

B.S. Mechanical Engineering. GPA: 2.95

ENGINEERING PROJECTS

Agarabi Engineering, PLLC, a consulting firm focused on operations & maintenance and energy efficiency. June 2016

Used Microsoft Excel to analyze energy usage and demand costs for the Wollman Rink, located in Manhattan. Provided historical analysis of kilowatt-hours per day for billing accounts from 2009-2015.

General Electric (GE) Wind Turbine Reliability Analytics, Senior Capstone Project, team of 9. January – May 2015

Calculated accumulated stress due to wind turbulence using the concept of a power spectral density. Utilized MATLAB® to create a power spectral density of the one-second wind speed data provided by GE. Scaled the wind speed time series using the graph of the turbulence intensity as a function of average wind speed.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Envirolution One, Inc. A non-profit organization whose mission is to drive the growth of a sustainable economy.

Energy Auditor Intern/Junior Light Auditor. January 2016 – October 2016

Conducted an ASHRAE level one and level two energy audit of the building located at 1916 Park Avenue in Harlem, NY back in January of this year. Used Microsoft Excel to calculate energy use intensity, cooling and heating loads, total electric and gas bill amounts (for the entire building), and energy use consumption for each building system.

Worked as a junior light auditor in October 2016 for Aelux, a leading provider of energy efficient lighting and controls retrofits for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients across North America. Worked in the Aria Health hospitals located in both Langhorne, PA and Frankford, Philadelphia, PA. This project lasted for one week.

Worked as a junior light auditor and an independent contractor for Willdan in the VA Hospital in July 2016 in East Orange, NJ. This was a five week light audit.

Needed to recommend lights that need to be replaced in both hospitals. The end goal was to replace non-functioning lighting fixtures with LED fixtures.

Worked alongside other junior light auditors, senior light auditors, and one project manager.

Responsibilities included verifying the floor plans for each floor on both hospitals, measuring the ceiling height for each room on each floor, measuring the footcandles for each lighting fixture in each room, verifying the number of switches which controlled each lighting fixture in each room, verifying the ballast type of each lighting fixture in each room, and verifying if there were sensors in the room.

Needed to submit accurate lighting inventory data to the client that would be used to help facilitate lighting retrofits in the hospitals.
