3.WORK EXPERIENCE
June-July 2012
I was attached at Senkatana Health Centre. As an HIV/AIDS counselor, my duties were to:
Provide pre and post-test counseling to the clients.
As an Educator I was to teach clients on adherence. It is here that I practiced case work method of Social Work whereby I worked with one client face to face.
Do group counseling method of social work whereby I grouped clients with similar problem and then provide group counseling.
Test the clients.
Refer them to relevant offices for ART if the client had to start the treatment

I was also attached at Ketane Local Court as a Social Worker who in most cases played a role of the mediator to fit into the court’s environment. My duties were to:
Fight against abuse faced by the children more especially the OVC.
Write and submit reports to the concerned stakeholders.
Apply different forms of therapy to children who are emotionally affected before and after the court`s proceedings.
Mediate and reunite families in dispute especially those involving children and provide emotional support to them.

I worked as a Constituency Supervisor at BUREAU OF STATISTICS; POPULATION AND HOUSING CENSUS 2016. I provided services including Managing the work of Assistant Supervisors and Enumerators at a constituency level. Undertaking enumeration process in cases where enumerators fail or could not carry out the process. Post checking data collected by enumerators and approving all cases before the data is synchronized to the headquarters. Inputting, transcribe, record, maintain data in both written and electronic form.
