PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Home Automation Using Hand Gestures (Python, Django, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Embedded Systems, IOT, SQL) Spring 2016
Transferred 3-axis Accelerometer data wirelessly from Arduino to Raspberry Pi for gesture processing using Trans receiver.
Implemented algorithm for Gesture detection to set particular GPIO pins of Raspberry Pi.
Developed an app on Django server showing the status of Raspberry Pi output. Currency Prediction (Python, Flask, ggplot2, pandas, numpy and Time series function) Spring 2016
Collected United States Dollar to other currencies historic data of 15 to 30 years.
Data cleaning and manipulation using Python and code was designed to fetch data from a particular time frame of any currency.
Created interactive plots and a web application for easy user interface using data visualization techniques and Flask. Pedestrian and Object Detection (Python, Open CV, numpy, imutils, cv2) Spring 2016
Trained HOG and Linear SVM model with training images using Python and Open CV for Pedestrian Detection.
Implemented Sliding Window technique on test images for Feature Extraction (Pedestrian Detection).
Detected the presence of green colored ball as an object in the image using HSV Color space along with Python. Wikipedia Viewer (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstarp) Fall 2016
Designed a search box for entering the Wikipedia entries which outputs the related search contents with a small information and a link to the Wikipedia page for that entry.
Designed a button which when clicked redirects to a random Wikipedia page. Weather Application (JavaScript, HTML5) Spring 2016
Gathered JSON data from OpenWeatherMap.org using JavaScript and included in the app using HTML5
Implemented the Weather App to show the weather of the current location of the user
Created a toggle button to see the temperature toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius Analysis of Discussion Forum Data (Cloudera Hadoop, MapReduce, Python, csv, sys) Fall 2016
Successfully uploaded forum data on Hadoop cluster for processing and designed MapReduce job for analysis.
Analyzed factors such as Students Posting Time on Forums using MapReduce code to detect most active hours on forums.
