Utilimap KSA’s: Understanding of how the GIS data is imported into the SDE data base. This requires daily extraction of data through a ‘Check In’ process and results in building a new data base, at least daily. After data is extracted, then one must communicated with user via email/phone, gathering requirements for the creation of custom built maps and reports. Skills required are organizing data, by date or object id (OID), setting up the mapping templates, using scripting languages to automate layers in the map and finally, cartographically producing a readable map with an associated Crystal reports.
Other skills include creating geo-databases, developing maps from survey coordinates and building maps from cadastral, as well as special request, which could be from foresters working with communities, like Rockville, MD.
