Qualifications and Previous Job Duties

-Locate projects for bid through means of online bid sites or contacting GC’s directly.

- Attend pre bid meetings and or site visit prior to bid for visual perspective of planned construction site.

-Review spec books in detail for any requirements and materials for the specific projects.

-Calculate Materials by means of online measuring software, ISF Measure online software or manually by means scale rule.

-Input materials to computer software for calculations. Experienced with different estimating software such as MC2, Timberline, Estimate Pro, Bid Pro, Tradesman, as well as building custom estimating with the use of excel.

-Use of ONSCREEN measuring software such as ISF among others.

-Submit bids promptly on bid day and bid time.

-Follow up on bid to get a bid tab, if available, and review all winning bids, whether rewarded or not to track current market pricing.

-Review and edit all contracts.

-Assemble Submittals and any shop drawings for Architectural review.

-Review and correct returned submittals.

-Meet with Contractors and Architects in office or on job site when required.

-Assemble and track change orders.

-Manage office, field personnel and train JR estimators.

-Coordinate with trades to overcome any obstacles that may cause delays to the project.

-Familiar with Government and private sector projects.

-Drafting and Engineering skills. Shop drawings for mechanical fasteners, Flashing, Custom Arch details or related.
