Lead Receiver November 2014 – Present

Promoted to open new store in Conroe, TX as Lead Receiver/Receiving Manager, for one of HEB’s high volume stores.

Manage 2 Receiving Clerks, overseeing work schedule and training, standards.

Accountable for inventory control and performance with 1% shrink for the first year, #1 in region first six months.

Processed orders through FedEx or UPS for Healthy Living Department.

Ensured proper ordering during holidays by working with Beer, Wine and Soda vendors to ensure proper amount of product, and ensuring limited over stock during slow periods.

Processed invoices and secure correct counts, track WGO report for returned goods, overages and damages on a daily basis. Report high WGO to department managers in an effort to reduce shrink. Track negative markups.

Developed a cleaning log for vendors to assure bays where free of any damaged product. All damages where to be returned before a new load could be brought in.

Accountable for Aramark (laundry service) order of coats, aprons, dust mops and that all rugs where changed out weekly, and dirty laundry picked up.

Initiated contact with Vendors if shelves were low or if the merchandiser was late and shelves were bare. Kept Vendors up to date on upcoming sales.

Assisted Departments Managers with mark downs.

Responsible for weekly RGC report which matched invoices with total dollar amount received for each week. Resolved any discrepancies with Department Managers. All paper work was matched against the GPMR (gross profit management report) discrepancies were resolved with Department Manager input.

Managed the Force Charge Journal: all entries were researched. Invoices were found and matched against the charge and verification of delivery. If we found incorrect charges they were sent to DSD account for correction, eliminating double charges.

Backup Receiver 2011- 2014

Transferred to Jones West store as Back-up Receiver and was quickly promoted to Lead Receiver at that location.

Accountable for Receiving HEB trucks, vendor’s orders and processing shrink. Responsible for weekly paper work, tracking negative mark ups and making sure credits were received on HEB claims for damaged or missing product.

Worked with all departments to reduce shrink.

Lead Baker/Receiver 2010-2011

Lane Receiving was initiated and the company determined that only one receiver was need for full time. I was then transferred to the bakery as Lead Baker. I stayed on as the backup receiver to cover days off and vacation.

Receiving 2008 – 2010

Moved from Deli Lead to Receiving at HEB’s Sawdust Store.

Participated in the new Lane receiving program introduced in 2009. The new process allowed vendors to check themselves in and an audit was determined on a random basis. When an audit was triggered the items where then rechecked in by the receiver. Each box opened scanned and recounted.

Deli Lead 2005 – 2008

Transferred to Deli lead at the Rayford Sawdust Store. Responsible for ordering all stock items needed for the deli. From specialty cheese, meats for the deli case, any supply’s that where needed for every day sales. Along with inventory once a period, stocking and partner relations.

Responsible for department procedures and customers service, ensuring customers were handled quickly and accurately. Ensured hot food stayed in temperature and that logs were filled out correctly. Managed the preparing and cooking of the rotisserie chickens and that the time logs for these were accurate.

Cheese Specialist 2004 - 2005

Opened the new store at Indian Springs. In charge of preparing bulk cheese for sale, including cutting and wrapping of over 50 varieties of cheese.

Assisted with customers and slicing deli meats and cheese, introducing them to new and specialty item.

Worked closely with the wine steward in pairing wines with meats and cheeses.
