DESCRIPTION As Ship Repair Manager I was responsible for managing a team (100

People, 5 direct reports), planning and organizing repair works

(mechanical, machining, valve, shaft, propeller, main auxiliary eng.

pumps, steel, piping, outfitting, blasting & painting etc.) of docking vessels.

After discussing with all foreman’s of each department and accepting

the jobs preparing the time schedule for the repair period.

Communicating with attended owner representatives, managing daily

progress meetings, following the work progress taking jobs, preparing

and submitting work orders, carrying out on field and delivering

completed works to owner and class representatives.

During that time period I was leading Manager for more than 15 vessels during their

Dry Dock time.

As ship repair assistant manager I was trying to assist as much as I can to the ship repair manager and I was doing all of the daily jobs that he give it to me and to learn more every day.

As steel foreman I was carrying out hull & deck & tank inspections and renewal markings with class & owner representatives. Organizing, planning, managing and following steel works and steel subcontractors on repair & docking projects. I was responsible for a team of 30 people (20 of them fitters and 10 welders) Managing steel plates to prepared in workshop. Inspecting the works in accordance with IACS rules during fitting, welding and after completion. Carrying out some remarks if necessary.
