Prepared a battalion that just completed operations in Afghanistan for a new mission in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn. Quickly transformed a personnel support battalion to a modular finance company seamlessly supporting over 21,000 soldiers and civilians at Fort Drum and the North Eastern Region.

Deployed the organization to Kuwait and Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. In less than 30 days, organized a force of over 900 Soldiers from multiple Active, Reserve and National Guard units located on 14 Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) throughout Iraq and Kuwait into a cohesive team. Under austere conditions, provided premiere human resources and Finance support to over 80,000 personnel, signal support to the brigade, force protection support for a sector of a large FOB and internal logistics support for a Brigade Headquarters.

Responsible for the development and retention of leaders, improvement of systems and processes, and the enhancement of the quality of life, readiness, training, and welfare of his unit. Upon arrival to Iraq, assumed mission responsibility for the HR and FM operations in central Iraq and the force protection mission for the brigades sector. All three missions had been conducted by three separate battalions over the course of the previous two years.

Supervised human resources support of 12 postal platoons and teams processed over 3 million pieces of mail, serviced customers at 12 fixed Army Post Offices (APOs), and conducted over 50 mobile postal missions to forward sites, ensuring unmatched support to over 14 brigade- sized units and corps/theater headquarters and executing reception, replacement, redeployment, rest and recuperation (R&R operation and return to duty (R5) support tracking over 160, 000 movements. During the peak holiday mail season in December 2008, the theater maintained a transit time of less than 10 days exceeding United States postal standards.

Assistant Executive to the Commander, United States Transportation Command, Scott AFB, IL, 2006-2007

Administrative assistant and advisor to the commander (General) of over 30,000 employees with a budget in excess of $20 billion. The command operates all strategic air and sea ports, worldwide and is the Department of Defense’s Distribution Process Owner.
