Most recently I have over 13 years of experience in field based and telephonic Workmans’ Compensation Case Management. I have had extended field case management experience with catastrophic injury management. I also worked with Soonercare clients at the Oklahoma Health Care Authority as an Exceptional Needs Coordinator, in the field and telephonically.

I have been a Nurse for 30 years. I have had extensive clinical experience in the past in acute care hospital settings providing Orthopedic care and acute post-operative care post orthopedic surgery, Post-operative Care, Oncology with Chemotherapy Certification with out-patient clinic work. I have also had a long history of providing a variety of skilled nurse home care such as infusion services, wound care services, wound care management, and diabetic care and management in the past. I also performed Intake services for about 3 years with a large home health care company making certain that I had referral information correct and that patients qualified for services, and worked with third party payors clarifying insurance benefits, pharmacy needs, and skilled services needed, negotiating rates for skilled services, pharmaceuticals, and IV infusion services. Obtain complete health and medical histories from patients including medical, surgical, and mental health histories. Provide care and treatment plan information to patient by providing information, education, and reassurance. Discuss any diagnostic testing and give information as to how the testing is performed, options if available and any associated risks, and /or benefits to assist patients in making informed decisions. Determine and/or coordinate treatment plan by requesting & reviewing diagnostic test results and medical records as they became available. Perform complete initial and supplemental patient interviews as needed to obtain comprehensive patient medical histories and document findings. Telephonic On Site Nurse Case Manager

I was a dedicated case manager for the City of Oklahoma City Police Officers and Firefighters, and had an excellent relationship with clients and adjusters. Traveled mid and eastern, central portion of Oklahoma frequently to evaluate and re-evaluate severely disabled children, from infant to 21 years of age, for new or continued state paid skilled nursing services.
