PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Senior Software Engineer (Nov 2012 – Present) – As a technical service executive for the company’s Casino Management System, I perform multiple responsibilities including co-ordination with casino IT and business to capture business/technical requirements, high level estimations and reviews, planning and implementation of data migration from legacy systems, design and development of custom requirements and bug fixes.

• Casino Marketplace (CMP) – I designed and implemented TierCredit rewards program which evaluates and maintains player club states, including reports for casino marketing team. I designed, implemented, and performed data migration for 8 casinos. I implemented custom awards expiration process for two casinos.

CMP is a Casino management and player tracking system which can help casinos of any size in management and evaluation of their players with extensive communication interfaces to record different type of gaming ratings – Slot Machines, Table Games, Poker, Racing, etc.

• Beverage Ordering Service System (BOSS) – I was a part of the design and development team responsible for implementing the application from scratch. I designed and developed the BOSS Display Station used by bartenders and attenders to process beverage orders. I designed and developed surveillance player ban using SignalR which prevents players from ordering beverages after they are banned temporarily by casino surveillance team.

BOSS is a beverage ordering system by which casino patrons can place beverages from slot machines or slot attendants can place orders using hand held devices (IPod) on behalf of the players. The placed orders get into the bartenders queue where they shall be acknowledged and prepared as per the customers’ requirements after which they will be pushed to attendants queue to be delivered. Players and attendants will get current status of their beverage in slot machine/hand held device.

Senior System Analyst (Dec 2010 – Nov 2012) - As an on-site technical lead I performed few roles like co-ordination with business analysts and architects to capture business requirements/high level designs, leading low level design process, design and development of few modules and test automation framework and other technical lead activities (high level estimations, review, offshore co-ordination).

• Senior Consolidation - Medisys Replatform – I was a part of the team responsible for design and development of post customer enrollment workflow which performs evaluations on customers after a successful enrollment one of the Medisys based healthcare plans.

Medisys Replatform project is modernization of existing legacy Medicare Enrollment Data Information System (Medisys). This system is used by the client for enrollment of new members to Senior’s Medicare program as governed by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This system considerably reduced the number of Medicare enrollment rejections from CMS system by using a very extensive custom validation framework.

Mattel, Inc. Buffalo, NY - Contracted through UST GLOBAL, USA

System Analyst (Jun 2010 – Dec 2010) - As the onshore team lead and client POC I performed roles like preparing requirement specification document, maintaining project folder within Visual Source Safe, development and bug fixes of few modules and reports, deployment and UAT support, Offshore co-ordination.

• TFOL MattelPresents – I designed and developed admin modules for video, presentation, user access and five reports for the marketing management team.

“Toy Fair On a Laptop – MattelPresents” is a Silverlight application used by sales and marketing team of the client using which team members from different locations across the world can view presentations that were conducted during ToyFair event which happens twice every year. Presentations include product introductory video sessions and product information slides coupled with 360 degree views of product images.

Costco Wholesale Corporation, Issaquah, WA - Contracted through UST GLOBAL, USA and India

Senior Software Engineer (Feb 2008 – May 2010) - As the onshore team lead and client POC I performed roles like identifying business scenarios for test automation, designing and development of test automation framework, creation of test cases and implementation of test methods to automate different scenarios in VS.NET 2008 test projects using C#.NET for different modules.

• Order Management System – I created test automation framework for order creation, pharmacy orders fulfillment, cash card authentication and executed/refined/extended the test cases during regression testing iterations.

OMS was the replacement for a legacy B2B order processing system. The system automated all processes of order processing life cycle for orders placed through an e-commerce application. The life of an order in OMS starts when orders are imported from the web site(s). The order then passes through several processes - validation checks, fraud checks, payment authorization, fulfillment, payment settlement, legacy sales posting, order status change web site updates, etc.

Hanesbrands Inc. Winston Salem, NC - Contracted through UST GLOBAL, USA and India

Software Engineer (Mar 2006 – Dec 2007) - As a team member I worked at client site in the USA and at offshore in India performing duties like System study at client site and knowledge transfer among the team members, preparation and execution of migration plan, supporting the application in production environment.

• Sarbanes-Oxley Control Deficiency Tool (Sox CDT) - I migrated the application from one company to another company as a part of re-branding process.

The application was used to report gaps (control deficiency) on different departments or operational units of an organization.

• HanesNet (Hanesbrands Inc.) – I supported this application in production.

This is a web based application with sales forecasting and order management as the main functionalities. It has also some modules that interact with a mainframe inventory.

H&R Block Kansas City, MO - Contracted through UST GLOBAL, India

Software Engineer (Aug 2005 – Feb 2006) - As a team member I worked at offshore in India performing duties like design and development of the business components, test automation using NUnit framework.

• Custom Diffgram Component – I created a framework for users to easily understand a diffgram output from two input xml texts.

Diffgram is a XML based specification proposed by Microsoft to represent the difference between two XML files.

• Next Generation Tax Engine (NGTE) – I designed and implemented state income tax calculation libraries for more than 30 states in the US.

NGTE, using C# and COM wrappers reengineered proprietary language based Tax Preparation System (TPS) legacy engine into .NET based libraries. (TPS) is the core retail tax preparation component used by various applications.

• WEBCARE (http://www.webcare.md/) – I created a CMS (Content Management System) engine using which site administrators can add/edit products, articles, advertisements related to biomedical products.

Webcare is a web application that lists products and articles of the company related to biomedical domain.

Software Engineer (Nov 2003 – Apr 2005) - As a team lead and member I performed duties like co-ordination with clients/QA team, design and development.

• INVESTMENT PROJECT PREPARATION AND APPRAISAL (IPPA) – I was a member of two member development team which built the application from scratch.

Investment Project Preparation and Appraisal (IPPA) is a presentation manager application developed for a large presentation repository maintained by UNIDO. Some of the functionalities were Slide show, Custom presentation preparation, Text editor, Equation editor (3rd party control), Slide/Note print, PDF export, Slide attachments, HTML preview, Backup/Restore, Export/Import.

• SECUREMPLOY (www.securemploy.com) - I was a member of the development team which built the application from scratch.

SecureEmploy is a job search site exclusively for hospitality domain where the site administration staffs perform most of the operations in the application. It mainly targets at high-end professionals who do not want to spend time and effort in finding a new job. Job seekers do not directly login to the site and make modifications or post resumes, instead the site administration staffs perform that part on behalf of the job seeker.
