Marlo Watkins Hughey

Marlo is an instructor and choreographer at Dance World here in Hartsville. She has entertained, twirled and danced since she was 2 years old. She was Miss Majorette of SC, Miss Majorette of the Southeast and won numerous World Baton Championships. She also won talent at World's Our Little Miss. She was selected to twirl at the Atlanta Braves game during an inning with their talent search. She was Miss Darlington and Miss Transouth and went on to win The Miss South Carolina Community Service Award. She also won talent at Miss South Carolina with baton twirling. Her Community service book went to the Miss America pageant and paid her full scholarship to college. She graduated from Hartsville High School and Florence-Darlington Tech. She was in the band, on the dance-line, flag line, and twirled for the pre-game shows at the University of South Carolina. She is currently a pharmacy tech at Walmart and resides in Hartsville with her husband and two boys.
