Greetings of the day.

1. I am privileged and taking this opportunity to introduce myself to the position mentioned above. I am a retired Engine Room Artificer from Indian Navy with 20 years of sea going experience on board various warships and had been in to several refit and refurbishments of naval ships at dockyards. I had immense experience in marine and mechanical machinery, equipment and systems and also entrusted with several project activities and successfully completed within the stipulated time limit. I am now looking for a stable second career in Oil and gas field preferably because the similarity in operation and maintenance is akin to naval ships and platforms. Sir, it submitted that, during my association with one of the finest navy in the world, I had the opportunity to learn, achieve and was introduced to and acquired a range of knowledge from military leadership to engineering management. The rich experience in versatile field of Marine engineering, Safety and Security, Firefighting operations & maintenance, liaison & coordination and management with various enforcement agencies both military and civilian through my distinguished naval career is invaluable and I can effectively discharge the same during my duties and can be committed to the organisational roles which may be entrusted upon me.

3. My education, certifications and training which includes STCW 2010, BSc in Marine technology, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Advanced diploma in Industrial fire safety, NEBOSH IGC, IOSH (MS), Leadership and Management Training, Fire Fighting courses, along with my decades earned experience and finest military skills. i.e. discipline, loyalty, hard work and ability to motivate a team and to deliver results at strenuous situation, expertise in security, safety, fire engineering, communication skills could undoubtedly contribute to a ship both at sea and port. 4. I understand that a career at oil field now been affected globally due to the constant declination of oil price and other economic dip. However, Maintenance of infrastructure (rigs and platforms) is a continuous process. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Twenty plus years’ experience in Engine room as a mechanic and elevated to Chief mechanic (Artificer) and taken Independent charge of ships engine room (ME II, ME I, LME, MECH 4,3,2, Chief Mechanic) Responsible for watch keeping, Planning, execution/ operation/ maintenance/repair/overhauling and documentation of all machinery and auxiliary machinery and system on board various warships from 385 DWT to 5000 DWT as Chief of the Watch with Charge certificate competency which is the highest competency given to the marine engineering sailors of Indian Navy. Several repair activities were undertaken at sea in adverse sea conditions and was Commended by commanding officers and awarded proficiency Awards during many afloat appointments.

Lead a team for monitoring and managing refits of Indian Naval Ships in the capacity of Coordinator Production Control Cell and ensured timely completion of the ship refits at Naval Ship Repair Yard (Kochi) during 2008 – 2011 and was Commended by Admiral. Performed and directed Yard employees to repair/ overhaul and replacement of various machinery/equipment systems of visiting ships and yard crafts at Kochi with co-ordination of various internal and external agencies. Prepared several presentations to higher naval authorities about progress of refits during refit review progress meetings. Carried out the duty of Assistant Safety officer/ Engineer to the refit ships during the tenure and effectively managed and co-ordinated all refit activities without a single accident /OTI and within the set time limit which ensured and saved big capital (both in terms of manpower and material) to the ex-chequer. Also was instrumental in QA/ QC policy implementation of Indian Navy for all ships under refit (Engineering and Naval Architect)

Carried out the duties of Maintenance in-charge of Engineering & Maintenance Department of INS Eksila one of the largest Engineering Overhauling facility of its kind in Asia of Indian Navy during 2011 to Feb 2015 viz. – managed several civilian contractors and, lead a team of employees both uniformed and civilian, rectification of various mechanical and electrical defects, setting up of in- house repair facility for various valves of the engineering base. Controlled and regulated day today function of the maintenance department with finest management skills in a diversified atmosphere. Prepared Board Proceedings and Statement of Cases for repairs /procurement/ services, liaison with Military Engineering Services and civil contractors for civil works. Managed other facilities essential for an industrial establishment, Dockyard/ Ship repair facilities etc. Accomplished project activities in time consistently meeting the challenging uncertainties and targets. Experience in handling various budgeting, cost estimation, inspection and completion reports, issue of PTW to contractors and scrutiny of financial implications (RIC and sanction reports), monitoring and successful execution of projects during 2012 - 2015.
