Audubon Field Solutions (AFS) - Metairie, LA, Senior Project Cost Controls Specialist, Mar 2004 to Feb 2016 Construction Management specializing in the implementation of all phases of projects; from planning through installation, commissioning and final decommissioning Worked closely with client’s accounting department and ran daily aging reports in ADP to assist in the review and processing of payables. Developed and published customized cost tracking and reporting systems based on individual client and project needs inclusive of monthly cost control, accrual reporting and change management for multiple and new construction projects. Assisted client’s accounting with internal audits on as need basis. Performed continuous audits on contractor’s billing in order to assist client in identifying any duplicate billing. Hundreds of thousands of dollars were saved by doing so.
Reviewed client invoices in ADP system for billing accuracy and coding to respective projects. This was inclusive of maintenance projects and new construction projects with the most recent high profile classified project encompassing over $100 million in cost. Assisted project manager in ensuring proper balance between cost and schedule goals. Project manager for major client’s Hurricane Ike and Gustav storm damaged properties which exceeded 120 facilities and over $122 million in cost.
