Employment History and Work Experience:

I undertook work experience during year 10 and also in my last year in sixth form as part of my Health and Social Care qualification, I completed both of these at St Richard’s Playgroup in Hanworth. I have also completed another internship at Twickenham Day Nursery, this leaves me with over two hundred hours of experience with young children in a health and social care setting. During my work experience I learnt transferable skills that I will be able to apply to many other workforces. An example of these transferable skills is team building. During my internship at Twickenham day nursey I was able to develop my team building skills which allowed me to work more thoroughly and efficiently with other staff members in order to meet the children’s needs. Another transferable skill that I have acquired is communication, I can effectively communicate with staff, children and parents within a childcare setting. Working within a child care setting has also allowed to me develop my knowledge on how the children’s development is achieved by play.

Interest and Hobbies:

I enjoy drawing and painting in my spare time and also looking after my younger brothers. I enjoy babysitting for those that need it. I also enjoy meeting new people and spending time socialising with friends. Another one of my hobbies and interests is sport, whenever I am able to do a sport activity I will also take part and make sure that other are enjoying themselves as well as myself.
