EXPERIENCE

Truck Driver / Mechanic, New Boston Concrete, Inc. Nash, TX 01/2010 - 05/2016

● Day to day responsibilities included driving cement trucks, dump trucks, winch trucks and operation of pneumatic bulk tankers.

● Operated heavy equipment in the form of forklifts, front end loaders and tractors.

● Performed daily maintenance and repairs as needed on aforementioned equipment.

T3 Mechanic, Lear Siegler, Inc. (LSI)

Texarkana, TX 10/2000 - 01/2010

● Performed maintenance, teardowns and rebuilds on military grade vehicles for LSI, a contractor to the United States Military.

● In Building 401, responsible for teardown and rebuild of c-vehicles. Used DMWR’s in scope of work along with tools and equipment that were used in prior position as a mechanic for Red River Army Depot.

● Loaned to Humvee Assembly Line in Building 345 to complete the rebuilding of the Humvee.

● Loaned to Humvee Road Test in order to drive vehicles, to inspect, to diagnose and to repair.

● Assigned to Cross Drive in Building 345/2 to build Bradley PTOs and angle drive with DMWRs.

● Other duties included but not limited to: training, troubleshooting, disassemble, inspect, modify, repair and rebuild a variety of standard and automatic transmissions, hydraulic and computerized Cross Drive transmissions, power take off assemblies and transfer case gearboxes, as well as other powertrain items. Utilizing blueprints, drawings and technical manuals to maintain, and to train others to use, technical equipment and other specialized gauges, fixtures and tools.

● Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic 5803 - temporary status for 1 year, after Reduction In Force, for Dusty Williams in Building 401 WG 08 Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic / Red River Army Depot Texarkana, TX 10/1982 - 10/1997

● Duties included but not limited to the overhaul and repair of heavy combat or heavy mobile equipment.

● Performed preventive maintenance on tools or equipment utilized in the production operation.

● Total disassembly of major systems and components of the Bradley 113 family MLRS.

● Drove vehicles as required in diagnosing malfunctions and placing in an operable condition for pre-inspection.

● Utilized a variety of gauges and instruments to diagnose and determine repairability of engines. They included inside and outside micrometers, bore scopes, dial bore gauges, straight edges and dyes.

● Removed end plates of transmissions to adjust and to examine for wear and damage. When extensive repairs were required on individual unit components, the items were removed and repaired in specialty shops. Repaired components or replacements were then installed, adjusted and aligned on the vehicle.

● Performed rebuild, repair, assembly, adjustment, diagnostics and applicable functional tests of major mechanical systems and components. These included but were not limited to suspension and brake systems, steer differentials, final drives, auxiliary generator sets and fuel systems. Diagnosed malfunctions of defective units and repaired or replaced items as required. Assembled and performed functional test for leaks, misalignments and functionality.

● When units were rejected by Quality Inspector, determined causes of malfunction and took appropriate action to resolve the causes.

● Utilized blueprints, schematics, technical publications and DMWRs as required.

● Worked on in-process, test track and shipping operations in regards to vehicles. Performed duties involved in the diagnostics, adjustments and tune up of assembled heavy mobile equipment.

● Diagnosed cause of deficiencies and malfunctions noticed during operational tests and subsequent formal inspection. Adjusted, aligned and replaced parts of components to correct and perform repairs that can be accomplished without removal of the major components such as replacement of injectors, blowers, steer differentials and final drives.

● Visually checked vehicles to identify missing parts or deficiencies prior to release for final inspection.

● Repair generated type defects such as hydraulic line leaks, misaligned or misadjusted items.

● Received vehicles and listed discrepancies found by inspectors. Make necessary adjustments to accomplish corrections or make such repairs to the units, assemblies or parts that are possible without a complete disassembly or rebuild process. Where repair was impractical, made a replacement.

● Followed all applicable safety rules and regulations. EDUCATION
