Cover Letter
To Whom It May Concern,
I am Daphne Rawashdeh, a computer programming student at HCC with experience in document management, working in office environments, and intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. As someone who enjoys constantly learning about and working with computers both in and out of the classroom, I can rapidly get up to speed with almost any office software and equipment, and immediately become an independent, efficient, and cordial addition to your office. During my time volunteering in schools, I gained familiarity with the kinds of filing tasks and workspace organization needs frequently required in large office environments. I have helped organize, print, and release packets and documents to groups, maintained organized classrooms and file systems, and gained experience in utilizing professional photocopiers. In addition to my clerical experience in school environments, I also participated in my school’s debate team, gaining extensive experience in maintaining and scrutinizing large quantities of documents in a time-sensitive, team environment. Through this, I became skilled in quickly identifying and locating required materials, maintaining a well-structured and anticipatory filing system, and keeping track of and following through on large numbers of requirements with competing levels of priority. Though I have not yet had formal job experience, I believe the skills I’ve sharpened through these activities have left me well prepared to work in an office environment, where I can be relied upon to maintain a well-indexed filing system, efficiently and accurately complete tasks and absorb instructions, and quickly adapt to new requests. I am keen on proving I have the skills to be a valuable member of a professional environment, and If hired, I believe I would be an extremely dedicated and industrious addition to your workplace.
I’d like to express my thanks for taking the time to consider me, and would be grateful for the opportunity to elaborate on my skills in an interview. Respectfully,
Daphne Rawashdeh
